Quality Control

Checked at four stages, not once at the end

Quality control runs alongside the work: drawings are checked before ordering, materials on delivery, terminations as they are made, and the whole installation before handover.

The four checkpoints

01

Design and drawing check

Load calculations, cable sizing and protection settings are reviewed against the drawings before anything is ordered.

02

Material verification

Cable, breakers and fittings are checked against specification and certificate on delivery; substitutions need written approval.

03

In-progress inspection

Terminations, torque values and containment are inspected as the work proceeds, so nothing is buried unchecked.

04

Final test and sign-off

The full installation is tested, labelled and photographed, then signed off by a supervising electrician.

Tests performed before sign-off

Insulation resistance
1 kV megger test on every new circuit
Continuity of protective conductors
Earth path verified end to end
RCD trip timing
Measured against rated disconnection time
Polarity and phase rotation
Checked at every board and machine feed
Load balance
Phases balanced and recorded under working load
Thermal scan under load
Infrared check of panels and terminations
A multimeter taking a reading during testing
Workmanship guarantee

Installation work carries a five-year workmanship guarantee. If a fault traces back to our terminations, containment or panel build, we return and correct it at no charge.
